Overnight at Wupperthal Mission via the Algeria valley. Uitkyk Pass itself has been tar since 2019 — the work is the corrugated gravel either side of it, honest but rough after winter rains. Deflate at Algeria, re-inflate at Pakhuis. XWD trims comfortable throughout; FWD trims welcome in the dry.
The route
Into the valley via Algeria, over Uitkyk (tar since 2019 — enjoy it, the corrugations resume immediately after). Overnight at the Mission — braai is chapter-catered, bring your own chair.
Out via the Pakhuis Pass gravel in morning light, re-inflate at the tar, coffee in Clanwilliam and dissolve.

- Tyre deflator + compressor
- Recovery strap + shackles (convoy carries the rest)
